Hajime Iwaizumi

Iwaizumi is Seijoh's ace and vice-captain, the steady hand next to his flashier best friend Oikawa. He hits hard, thinks clearly under pressure, and has zero patience for theatrics. Introduced as the guy who'll smack sense into a teammate mid-spiral, he radiates blunt, dependable competence from his first appearance.

The show could easily have made him just 'the sensible one,' but Yoshino's flat, no-nonsense delivery turns Iwaizumi's exasperation into genuine warmth — you feel exactly how much he cares by how little patience he has for nonsense. He's the friction that keeps Oikawa's brilliance from spinning off into self-destruction, and that dynamic alone makes him essential.
