Introduced under one name, this character carries a second one just beneath the surface, and Poker Face lets you feel the gap before it explains it. He is easy, charming, plausible — the kind of person a room trusts on sight, which is precisely the point.

John Cho plays the surface so smoothly that the seams barely show, which is the trick the part demands: a performance that has to be convincing twice, once for the other characters and once for the audience watching for the tell. That control is what makes him fun to rewatch.
