Guenther

Guenther is one of Futurama's odder background fixtures: a fully articulate ape who moves through the show's world as just another put-upon office drone, no explanation offered or needed. He shows up amid the crowd of aliens and mutants filling out New New York's population, going about mundane business with total nonchalance.

The joke is entirely in the lack of a joke — nobody in-universe blinks at a talking ape in a suit, and that deadpan normalization is classic Futurama world-building. Tress MacNeille gives him just enough weary, bureaucratic affect to sell him as a real coworker rather than a punchline, which is funnier than any punchline would be.
