Guard 1

Guard 1 is exactly what the name promises: a uniformed functionary who shows up wherever the plot needs someone to bar a door, follow an order, or stand imposingly beside Guard 2. He has no stake in the story beyond his post, and he behaves with the flat, dutiful indifference of someone just doing a shift.

The joke is the anonymity itself — Futurama loves populating its future with bureaucratic nobodies, and Phil LaMarr's easy, deadpan line readings give even a nameless guard a little comic specificity. It's a testament to the show's voice bench that a one-scene extra still lands a laugh.
