Grover Cleveland's Head

Grover Cleveland's Head is one of countless preserved presidential heads bobbing in jars at the Head Museum, wheeled out whenever the future needs a figure of stuffy political authority. He speaks with the wounded pomposity of a man who still thinks his office commands respect, issuing decrees and grievances despite being, quite literally, a disembodied head.

The joke is entirely in the mismatch between the bureaucratic self-importance and the absurd fact of being a talking jar-head, and Maurice LaMarche plays it perfectly straight, all blustering gravitas and wounded pride. It's a tiny, recurring bit of background lunacy that never overstays its welcome.
