Gregory Cromwell

Gregory is Thomas Cromwell's beloved son, growing up in the shadow of a father whose intellect and ruthlessness dominate every room he enters. Sweet-natured, a little slow at his books, more interested in hunting and manners than statecraft, he wants mainly to please his father and find his own place in a world built on Cromwell's cunning.

Gregory works because he's the softness inside a hard story — the person Cromwell loves without calculation.
