Goran Pazar runs the Chechen mob in Los Angeles with the flat, unhurried authority of a man who has never had to raise his voice to be obeyed. He deals in guns and violence as routine business, treating his underling Hank's eagerness with weary tolerance. He wants order, profit, and competence from the people around him.

Glenn Fleshler plays menace as stillness — a low growl of a voice, a patience that never quite reassures. The show gets easy comedy from pairing his dead-serious criminal gravity against NoHo Hank's puppyish enthusiasm, and Fleshler never winks at the joke, which is exactly why it lands.
