Glenn Sturgis

Glenn is the manager of the Cloud 9 superstore, a devout, deeply earnest Christian who wants nothing more than for everyone under his watch to be happy. He's awkward, conflict-averse, and prone to caving to whichever employee argued with him most recently, running his store with more heart than authority.

The comedy is in the gap between Glenn's title and his temperament: a manager who cannot bear to actually manage anyone. Mark McKinney plays him with such guileless sincerity that his endless capitulations and go-nowhere pep talks become genuinely touching rather than pathetic, giving the show its softest, most decent center.
