Glab

Glab is a minor figure the Planet Express crew crosses paths with on their travels — an alien presence with her own agenda and her own patch of territory, met briefly and treated as a fact of the universe rather than explained. She speaks with blunt confidence and gets on with her business.

Tress MacNeille's gift is making a two-scene alien feel fully formed with just a voice — a specific cadence, a specific attitude — so Glab registers as a real personality rather than a placeholder. Futurama is full of these glancing, vivid creations, and she's a good example of how little the show needs to make one land.
