He drifts into Andrew's bedroom as a hazy, mustachioed apparition, dispensing gentle wisdom in a smooth, unhurried drawl. Self-appointed spirit guide to a panicking teenager, he seems to have wandered in from some cosmic waiting room, offering comfort and non-answers with total serenity about puberty's chaos.

The joke is the total mismatch between his cool, avuncular gravity and the fact that nobody, including him, can explain why he's here. Jordan Peele plays him dead straight, all warm reassurance and drawled non-sequiturs, which makes the absurdity funnier than any punchline could on its own.
