George Luz

George Luz is one of the many young men filling out Easy Company's ranks under the punishing eye of Captain Sobel. He's the wisecracker, the one who can do an uncanny impression of Sobel himself, defusing tension with a joke when everyone else is gritting their teeth through training.

Rick Gomez plays him as the company's pressure valve, and the writing trusts him to carry levity into scenes that could otherwise sag under grimness. His Sobel impression becomes a running note of camaraderie, and Gomez never lets the humor curdle into comic relief only — there's real steadiness underneath the jokes.
