Geoffrey

Geoffrey is Josh's flatmate and closest friend, sharing a house and a running commentary on Josh's fumbling attempts at adulthood and dating. He's breezy, funny, a little vain, and far more comfortable in his own skin than Josh — the friend who says the blunt thing out loud and then laughs at it.

The show could easily have made Geoffrey a sidekick who exists to react, but Wade Briggs plays him with enough self-possession that he never feels secondary. His humor lands because it's dry rather than broad, and underneath the jokes there's real tenderness for Josh — the kind of friendship that doesn't need to be stated to be obvious.
