Gamester Alien #1

One of the two identical, four-armed Gamesters of Chapek 9, this alien conducts inhabitants of the universe through a lethal gauntlet of arcade-style challenges for the amusement of his species. He speaks in the clipped, officious tone of a game-show host, treating annihilation as a mere procedural formality.

Maurice LaMarche gives the Gamester a chipper, bureaucratic cadence that makes his indifference to slaughter genuinely funny rather than grim — he's a functionary first, an executioner second. The joke is entirely in the mismatch between stakes and delivery, and LaMarche never breaks that deadpan game-show register.
