Gaius Octavian

Gaius Octavian is a boy when we meet him — nephew to Julius Caesar, son of the ambitious Atia, and the quietest person in almost every room he enters. He watches more than he speaks, answers questions with unsettling precision, and shows a coldness beyond his years that unnerves the adults around him.

The show's great trick is planting its eventual emperor as a child nobody quite takes seriously, and Max Pirkis plays that gap beautifully — soft-voiced, still, faintly amused, always thinking three moves ahead of everyone in his mother's chaotic household. You watch him and wonder how much he already understands, which is the whole point.
