Gabriel

Gabriel appears as one of the many odd faces populating New New York in the 31st century, a minor figure who drifts through the edges of the Planet Express crew's misadventures. He speaks with the clipped confidence of someone used to being listened to, even in scenes where he barely register as more than a passing voice.

Phil LaMarr's gift for vocal precision does a lot of the heavy lifting here, giving even a small role snap and personality rather than filler. Futurama's background characters often carry the show's dry wit in throwaway lines, and Gabriel benefits from that house style—brief, but never wasted.
