A vision of what Andrew Glouberman might become, Future Andrew turns up mid-crisis to show his teenage self exactly where certain habits lead: unshaven, defeated, working a dead-end job, and full of regret. He's not a villain, just a cautionary ghost, blunt about his own failures and eager to spare his younger self the same fate.

It's a clever bit of structural cheating — Big Mouth gets to editorialize about consequences without breaking its horny, chaotic tone, because the messenger is so pathetic and funny about it. John Mulaney plays him with the same anxious cadence as regular Andrew, just curdled by exhaustion, so the joke and the warning land in the same breath.
