Frankenstein's Monster shuffles through New New York as just another face in the crowd of the thirty-first century, a lumbering green fixture of everyday life rather than a figure of horror. He turns up in offices, streets and parties, treated with total indifference by everyone around him, his monstrous origins reduced to a shrug.

The joke is entirely in the mismatch: gothic dread flattened into bureaucratic normalcy, a classic monster doing nothing more alarming than filing paperwork or standing in a bar. Maurice LaMarche's guttural, lurching line readings milk every scrap of deadpan absurdity from his brief appearances, making a Universal horror icon into a perfectly unremarkable extra.
