Frank Reynolds

Frank Reynolds is the wealthy, amoral father figure who arrives among the gang claiming he wants back into his kids' lives, but really just wants to slum it in the bar's chaos. He's a self-made millionaire with zero scruples, happy to scheme, lie, and degrade himself for a laugh or a buck.

DeVito throws himself into the role with total physical abandon, no vanity whatsoever, which turns a rich man's midlife crisis into something gleefully feral. Frank's total lack of a moral compass gives the show a floor beneath the other characters to sink toward, and DeVito plays it with a gremlin's delight.
