Frank

Frank turns up as one of the anonymous faces moving through New New York's crowded future, a working stiff caught in the margins of somebody else's plot. He does his job, says his line, and gets on with it, existing less as a personality than as a flicker of city life the show glances at and moves past.

Futurama's genius is often in its background noise, the sense that a whole indifferent world keeps humming along outside the main gag, and Frank is part of that texture. David Herman, a reliable utility player in the cast's ensemble of voices, gives him just enough shape to register without ever demanding the spotlight.
