Flytraps

Flytraps drifts through the margins of Futurama's universe, a minor face glimpsed rather than dwelt on. Little is made of who they are beyond the moment they appear on screen, and the show gives them just enough presence to register a joke or a beat before moving on.

The character works because Maurice LaMarche can make even a passing voice feel fully inhabited, lending texture to a role that might otherwise vanish. His comic instincts and vocal range turn a small, quickly-drawn part into something briefly memorable amid Futurama's crowded, joke-dense world.
