Finn Detrolio

Finn Detrolio is Meadow Soprano's boyfriend, a soft-spoken pre-med student trying to build a normal life while dating into a family that keeps pulling him into its orbit. He's polite, a little overwhelmed, and increasingly uneasy about what he sees and hears around the Sopranos, though he mostly keeps his head down and says nothing.

Janowitz plays Finn as the show's designated normal person, and that's exactly the point: through his discomfort we register just how strange and threatening this world has become to an outsider. His quiet dread, especially once he witnesses something he can't unsee, gives the show a rare outside-in perspective on its own menace.
