Filavandrel

Filavandrel is an elven lord in hiding, leading a dwindling band of his people through forests they once ruled before humans arrived. Proud and mournful, he composes elegies for a vanished world rather than plotting revenge, though the resentment underneath is plain. Geralt finds him more poet than warrior — until pushed.

Tom Canton plays him with weary aristocratic grief rather than villainy, which makes the elves' plight land as tragedy instead of threat. The character gives the show an early chance to complicate its politics — coloniser and colonised, extinction dressed as folklore — through one composed, sorrowful face instead of exposition.
