Fergus Fraser

Fergus is a young Parisian pickpocket, quick-fingered and quicker-witted, surviving by his nerve in a brothel where he's put to work stealing letters. When Jamie Fraser catches him mid-theft, the boy talks his way out of trouble with a cheek and charm that outstrips his ragged clothes and hungry frame.

César Domboy plays Fergus's bravado as armor over real vulnerability, so his attachment to Jamie reads as a starving child finally handed something like family rather than mere plot convenience. The character gives the show a lightness and loyalty that grounds its grander romance, a street kid whose devotion never once feels performed.
