Female Robot Ghost

She drifts through the background of Bender's world as one of the malfunctioning units rumored to be haunted, a pale glitch in chrome who appears when the story calls for something eerie among the robots. She wants nothing so much as to unsettle whoever's watching, gliding and moaning with the flat theatricality of a ghost story told by machines.

The joke is the premise itself: a robot ghost is a contradiction Futurama treats with total sincerity, and Tress MacNeille plays her with just enough wounded, wailing sincerity to sell the gag. She's a small, weird flourish in the show's crowded universe of throwaway robots, and she's funnier for never explaining herself.
