Fay Furillo

Fay is Frank Furillo's ex-wife, and she has no intention of quietly disappearing from his life. She turns up at the station demanding money, attention, and acknowledgment, often mid-crisis, wound tight and unapologetic about her own needs. Prickly and funny in her desperation, she treats the precinct like her rightful stage.

The show could easily have flattened her into a nagging punchline, but Barbara Bosson plays Fay's neediness as real grief and real nerve rather than caricature. She barrels into scenes with comic timing that curdles into pathos, making a character built to annoy oddly sympathetic — a woman insisting on being seen in a world built to manage and dismiss her.
