Fake 18-Year-Olds

A background gag rather than a proper character: figures introduced, insisted upon, and treated by the show as legally adult despite looking nothing like it. They exist in Futurama's crowd scenes to be laughed at for the sheer audacity of the claim, standing around as if daring anyone to check identification.

The joke lives entirely in the gap between the label and the visual, and Tress MacNeille sells that gap with a flat, unbothered delivery that never winks at the audience. It is a tiny bit, but it typifies Futurama's habit of dropping absurd asides into the margins and trusting them to land.
