Ezekiel

Ezekiel rules a fortified settlement called the Kingdom, dressed in flowing robes and speaking in booming, theatrical proclamations, with a tiger named Shiva at his side. He presents himself as a benevolent king to give his people hope and order amid the apocalypse, performing calm authority even when the world around him gives little reason for it.

The writing dares to be strange in a show often defined by grimness, and Khary Payton commits fully to the theatricality without ever letting it become a joke. He plays the performance and the man performing it simultaneously, so you sense the effort hope costs him. The tiger helps, but Payton's warmth is what actually sells the crown.
