Eve Polastri

Eve Polastri starts out stuck behind a desk, an MI5 security officer with sharper instincts than her rank allows and no outlet for them. She's married, restless, and quietly bored by her own competence — until a case involving a female assassin gives her something to fixate on, and she can't let it go.

Sandra Oh plays intelligence as a kind of hunger, all darting eyes and unglamorous fidgeting, so Eve's fascination with a killer reads as genuine appetite rather than plot convenience. The show lets her be messy, funny, and a little unprofessional about it, and Oh makes that recklessness feel like the most alive thing about her.
