Ernesto-Fonseca "Don Neto" Carillo

Don Neto is one of the old guard of Mexican trafficking, a veteran smuggler who has been moving marijuana since long before Félix Gallardo arrived with his ambitions to unify the plazas. He is genial, paternal, fond of music and comfort, and treats the business as a family trade rather than an empire to be built.

Joaquín Cosío plays him as warmth wrapped around menace, a man who can toast a room with real affection and still be the most dangerous person in it. The show uses his old-fashioned decency to measure how far Félix's cold new methods are pulling the trade from its roots, and Cosío makes that contrast feel lived-in rather than symbolic.
