Envy is a homunculus with no fixed face, delighting in cruelty and chaos wherever it slips into someone else's skin. Serving the shadowy Father, it manipulates the military and the Elric brothers alike, sneering at humanity's weakness while wearing whatever shape best suits the lie it's telling that day.

Minami Takayama gives Envy a gleeful, androgynous malice that never settles into one register—petulant child one moment, genocidal schemer the next. The shapeshifting isn't just a power but a metaphor for jealousy itself, and the performance keeps you unsure whether to laugh or recoil, which is exactly the point.
