Enos Fry

Enos Fry in Futurama (1999), played by Billy West.

Enos Fry surfaces as one of the many Frys scattered across history, a branch of Philip J. Fry's family tree glimpsed when the story goes digging into the past. He carries the same face and voice as generations of Frys before and after him, dropped into whatever era the plot needs him for.

Billy West's trick of voicing an entire bloodline pays off here: Enos Fry doesn't need pages of backstory because the joke and the poignancy are built into the casting itself, a single actor threading one family's dumb, lovable sameness through centuries of Futurama's timeline.

Enos Halibut Fry (August 22, 1920 - June 20, 1947?) was a Private in the United States Air Force, stationed at Walker Air Force Base in 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico and was engaged to Yancy Fry Sr.'s mother Mildred Fry. He was the original father of Yancy Fry, Sr. until the events of "Roswell that Ends Well", but still remains his legal/biological father.
