Engineer Brains

Brains is the quiet genius behind International Rescue, the bespectacled inventor who designed the Thunderbird machines and Tracy Island itself. He stammers through explanations, ducks praise, and seems happiest hunched over blueprints. Where the Tracy brothers dash into danger, Brains stays behind the scenes, solving the problems that make their rescues possible.

David Graham gives Brains a stutter and a mumble that could easily read as comic relief, but instead becomes proof of a mind moving faster than his mouth. The show trusts a nerdy, unglamorous character to be indispensable rather than decorative, and Graham's soft, hesitant delivery makes competence feel endearing instead of showy.
