Emery Huang

Emery is the middle Huang brother, the smooth one — impeccably dressed, unbothered, and weirdly good with people for a kid his age. While his brothers scrap over comic books or grades, Emery is out charming neighbors, teachers, and eventually every girl in Orlando, treating grade school like a networking opportunity.

The joke is that a ten-year-old has better social instincts than the adults around him, and Forrest Wheeler plays it completely straight, with a calm, low-key confidence that never tips into mugging. Emery's charm isn't a bit layered onto a kid character — it's the whole character, and it's genuinely funny because he never seems to know it's funny.
