Elves

In the frozen wastes of Neptune, the elves keep Robot Santa's workshop running, cranking out toys and dodging his temper. They are background labor in a nightmare version of Christmas cheer, small and put-upon, mostly seen scurrying to avoid becoming collateral damage in their boss's rampages.

They're a sly bit of world-building rather than a starring role: proof that Futurama's satire extends even to its throwaway holiday grotesques. Maurice LaMarche, doing one of several voices he supplies the show, gives them a harried, put-upon squeak that sells the joke of Christmas as industrial hazard without needing a single line to linger.
