Elves

These are the elves who work the assembly lines and cower under Robot Santa's murderous holiday rule, background figures glimpsed doing menial toy-shop labor whenever New New York braces for its annual robotic Christmas massacre. They exist to keep the machinery of Santa's operation running and to look appropriately terrified doing it.

Billy West, already carrying half the cast on his back, tosses off these voices as pure texture — squeaky, harried, disposable — which is exactly the joke. Futurama's gag is that even Santa's elves live in dread of him, and West's quick, unfussy line readings sell that grim absurdity without ever asking you to notice the effort.
