He has no arc, no goal beyond the next sale, and reacts to the city's daily absurdities with the flat calm of someone who has seen it all before.

He works because Futurama treats its background as densely as its foreground, and David Herman's dry, unbothered delivery turns a one-joke walk-on into a small running pleasure — the guy who's always just there, hawking eggs through robot rampages and alien invasions like it's Tuesday. Recognizing him becomes its own reward.
