Edward "Eddie" Winslow

Eddie is the Winslow family's teenage son, a smooth-talking charmer more interested in girls, sports and looking cool than in homework or chores. He's got a scheme for every situation and a comeback for every lecture, forever testing how far his easy confidence can stretch against his father's patience.

McCrary plays the classic sitcom teenager with real comic timing, letting Eddie's swagger deflate instantly whenever Carl fixes him with a look. He's funniest in the gap between how slick Eddie thinks he is and how transparently his tricks fail, which keeps the family's moral center believable and warm.
