Eating Contest Host

A minor master of ceremonies who turns up wherever Futurama needs someone bellowing into a microphone over a spectacle of gluttony, egging on contestants and crowd alike. He exists entirely in the moment: pump up the stakes, hype the carnage, never break character no matter how absurd the contest gets.

John DiMaggio, already the show's resident voice of gravelly bombast as Bender, slips into pure carnival-barker mode here, all rolled Rs and stadium-announcer bravado. It's a tiny part, but the commitment is total — a blink-and-you'll-miss-it bit made memorable purely by how much fun DiMaggio is having shouting.
