Eadith

Eadith enters as a young noblewoman fallen on hard times, working in the household of a Winchester brothel after her family's fortunes collapse. Martini plays her with a cool, appraising steadiness that keeps Eadith from ever curdling into either victim or vamp. The writing lets her ambition show through small calculations rather than speeches, and that restraint makes her scenes with more powerful men feel like quiet negotiations rather than seduction.
