Dwight Conrad

Dwight Conrad is Hermes and LaBarbara's son, a bright, dutiful kid growing up in the shadow of Planet Express. He is eager, a little awkward, and caught between his own interests and his father's insistence on discipline and tradition, trying to figure out who he wants to be while everyone keeps deciding for him.

He is Futurama's rare glimpse of ordinary adolescence inside a cartoon galaxy of mutants and robots, and Phil LaMarr plays him with an earnest, slightly put-upon sincerity that cuts through the show's usual irony. The father-son friction with Hermes gives the joke machine a quiet, recognizable heart.
