Dr. Frasier W. Crane

A psychiatrist who wanders into the bar as Diane's therapist and then her fiancé, Frasier Crane is fussy, articulate, and hopelessly convinced of his own refinement. He orders wine no one else understands and analyzes everyone in earshot, all while nursing a wounded pride he is far too smart to admit to.

Grammer plays pomposity as armor rather than joke, so every put-down Frasier delivers lands next to a flinch you're not quite meant to see. The writing lets a Harvard-trained mind be genuinely outclassed by barroom common sense, and the gap between his vocabulary and his self-awareness is where the laughs live.
