Dr. Christopher Taub

Chris Taub joins House's diagnostics team as a former plastic surgeon looking for something more meaningful than tummy tucks, though the pay cut and the ego bruising test that resolve daily. He's sharp, competitive, and a little vain, quick to remind everyone of his credentials while quietly hoping this job will fix something in his own life.

Peter Jacobson plays Taub's competence and insecurity as two sides of the same coin, a doctor smart enough to keep up with House but never quite secure enough to stop proving it. The writing uses his outside-the-hospital troubles sparingly, letting his prickly, dryly funny exterior crack just enough to feel human without ever asking for sympathy outright.
