Dr. Carnie

Dr. Carnie turns up as one of Futurama's parade of oddball professionals, a physician whose bedside manner leans more toward showmanship than medicine. He talks fast, sells confidence over competence, and treats diagnosis like a pitch. You get the sense he'd rather dazzle a room than actually cure anyone.

Maurice LaMarche, a voice actor built for pompous bluster, gives Carnie the cadence of a carnival barker in a lab coat — which is exactly the joke the name promises. He's a small, quick dose of quackery, the kind of one-scene character Futurama tosses off effortlessly, memorable for the voice more than the plot.
