Character

Dr. Cahill

Dr. Cahill in Futurama (1999), played by Maurice LaMarche.

Dr. Cahill turns up in New New York as one of the city's many background physicians, delivering diagnoses and dire pronouncements with the flat, over-serious confidence of someone who has seen far too many bizarre medical cases to be surprised by anything Planet Express drags through his door.

Maurice LaMarche gives him that booming, self-important doctor-voice cadence, the kind that makes even absurd prognoses sound like grave medical fact. It's a small role, but LaMarche's commitment to the deadpan authority sells the joke every time, turning throwaway exposition into a tiny comic performance.

Dr. Lauren Cahill is a doctor at the Head Museum.
