Donkey Kong

A hulking, roaring ape who shows up as a knowing nod to the old arcade legend, hurling barrels and menace in whatever brief sequence drops him into Futurama's world. He behaves exactly as you'd expect the character to: loud, destructive, single-mindedly chasing whoever he's been set against, playing the role rather than growing beyond it.

The joke is the point: Futurama loves stacking pop-culture furniture into its universe, and Maurice LaMarche gives the gag a genuine growl instead of a lazy impression, so the cameo lands as a real bit of comic performance rather than a wink-and-move-on reference.
