Don Taylor turns up in Schitt's Creek as one of the town's background fixtures, the kind of local who knows everyone's business and says so without much prompting. He is affable, unhurried, and entirely unbothered by the Roses' bewilderment at small-town life, treating their culture shock as just another Tuesday.

John Bourgeois plays him with the easy, unforced naturalism the show's best townsfolk share — no eagerness to be liked, no strain for a laugh. He works because he never tips into caricature; he's simply a guy who's lived here longer than the joke has, and treats the Roses' chaos as ordinary weather.
