"Dollar" Bill Stearn

At Axe Capital, Dollar Bill is a portfolio manager known as much for his cheapness—reused tea bags, thrift-store suits—as for his trading instincts. He's brash, superstitious, a little vulgar, and fiercely loyal to Axe's culture of winning at all costs. He wants to keep making money and stay in the room where the real decisions happen.

Kelly AuCoin plays him as pure texture: a walking collection of tics and cheap tricks that could be comic relief but never quite is, because the show keeps reminding you he's a shark who happens to also clip coupons. The frugality is the joke and the character study at once—it tells you exactly how he sees value.
