Dodi Fayed

Dodi arrives in The Crown's later seasons as Mohamed Al-Fayed's son, a film producer trying to make his own way while forever orbiting his father's vast ambitions. Gentle, courteous, a little adrift between glamorous worlds, he seems more interested in being liked than in being powerful, and finds himself drawn toward Diana with genuine, uncomplicated warmth.

Khalid Abdalla plays him without the easy caricature of playboy or pawn, finding instead a soft, watchful sincerity that makes his affection for Diana feel real rather than tabloid. The show is careful to let him be a person first, weighed down by his father's expectations, rather than merely a name history already knows.
