Documentary Announcer

A booming, unseen voice that periodically hijacks the show to narrate some absurd cutaway as if it were a nature documentary or a grave newsreel. He never appears in person, has no name beyond his function, and treats each ridiculous scenario — mutant lifecycles, historical parody — with total, unearned solemnity.

Maurice LaMarche's delivery is the whole joke: a rich, stentorian baritone borrowed straight from mid-century educational films, applied with dead seriousness to nonsense. The gag never explains itself or winks; it just trusts that grandiose narration over stupid footage is funny, and LaMarche's commitment makes every one-off appearance land instantly.
