DJ Timefilla

DJ Timefilla is a minor party fixture in New New York's nightlife, less a character with a job than a running joke about the concept of DJs themselves — showing up spinning nonsense sounds, deadpan and self-serious, treating whatever noise he's making as art. He wants to be taken seriously as a tastemaker, and nobody obliges him.

He's a one-note gag that earns its keep by never breaking commitment: the show treats his 'skills' with total sincerity while the audience can see there's nothing there. David Herman's flat delivery sells the joke without mugging for it, which is exactly why a background bit character gets remembered at all.
